Warrior Spirit was founded by Gabe Onofre and Ashley Onofre, leaders in business and the education field whose mission is to create a safe, supportive and compassionate environment where individuals can tap into their inner strength, surmount challenges and forge fulfilling lives.

    Co-founder
    Ashley Onofre, a dedicated co-founder and program director of Warrior Spirit, is a compassionate advocate committed to enriching the lives of men, women and youth in her community. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and certification as a K-12 educator, Ashley brings a multifaceted skill set and a wealth of experience to her role. As the mother of a US Navy sailor, Ashley has a profound personal connection to the military community, which fuels her deep-seated dedication to supporting those who have selflessly served their country. Ashley’s decade of experience as a teacher and athletic coach has equipped her with the tools to develop innovative and impactful educational and health programs tailored to the unique needs of diverse audiences, particularly those within the educator and youth communities. Her background as a crime journalist has provided valuable insight into the challenges faced by first responders as well as their mental wellness needs. Drawing on her extensive experience in nonprofit communications and fundraising, Ashley possesses a remarkable talent for storytelling and engaging with supporters to advance the mission of Warrior Spirit. Her exceptional writing skills enable her to effectively convey the organization's vision, impact, and the stories of those whose lives have been positively transformed through its programs.     Gabe Onofre, the esteemed co-founder and executive director of Warrior Spirit, is a dedicated leader with a profound commitment to empowering veterans, public educators, first responders, youth, and recovering addicts on their journey to mental wellness and personal growth. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology, Gabe brings a diverse and comprehensive skill set to his role. As an Army veteran with a background in risk and safety leadership management, Gabe's experiences have instilled in him a deep understanding of resilience, dedication, and the importance of supporting those who serve their community. His experience as an emergency responder, educator and team member of an addiction recovery ministry has provided him with firsthand experience with the unsung heroes of our community. At Warrior Spirit, Gabe's visionary leadership drives the organization's mission to provide specialized education classes, equine therapy, life coaching, and mentorship programs that aim to cultivate resilience, inspire transformation, and nurture a profound sense of purpose among those they serve. Through creating a supportive and compassionate environment, Gabe and his team empower individuals to tap into their inner strength, overcome challenges, and build fulfilling lives.     Tricia Campos-Brenner

    M.A., Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

    Tricia has almost 27 years of mental health experience, working with adults that have chronic mental illnesses at a community mental health clinic; babies and children with developmental delays; advocating for youth in foster care; counseling youth and families in the College Station school community; and working with homeless prevention in the City of College Station. She is currently working on becoming a fully licensed counselor. Tricia also serves as Secretary for the Health For All Board of Directors, in Bryan, TX. Health For All is a free medical clinic that services the uninsured in the Brazos Valley.  In addition to her career, Tricia is a wife and mom to three wonderful daughters, a cat and a dog.

    John Molina

    National Director Celebrate Recovery Inside

    John Molina is a grateful believer in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has overcome drug and alcohol addiction. He suffered through this addiction for 25 years until he met Jesus in a jail cell. Since then, God has been showing Himself strong on John’s behalf. He is currently the Prison Ministry Director for Word of Faith Outreach Ministries. He serves as the National Director for Celebrate Recovery Inside. And he works as a Supervisor over facilities maintenance at the Nasa Johnson Space Center. He has a beautiful wife Shirley, two adult kids who serve the Lord, and two grandchildren that he truly adores.

    Eli Perez

    Peer Service Coordinator

    Eli Perez is a dedicated veteran with eight years of service in the U.S. Army as an infantryman. He enlisted at the age of seventeen and began his military career at the DMZ in South Korea, serving with the renowned 1/506 Currahee Infantry Regiment in 2001. His next assignment took him to Fort Lewis, Washington, where he was a team leader in Charlie Company, 3-21 Infantry Regiment, part of the 25th Infantry Division. During this time, he deployed to Mosul, Iraq, for Operation Enduring Freedom from March 2004 to March 2005. After returning from deployment, Eli continued to serve his country for an additional two years with the Florida National Guard. Today, he is committed to giving back to his community as a Peer Service Coordinator with the Military Veterans Peer Network, representing Galveston and Brazoria County at the Gulf Coast Center. Eli’s experiences shape his dedication to supporting fellow veterans in their transition to civilian life.
